Wood Elf

Ranger for the Dawnbringers

WARNING: This story contains mention of cults and religious abuse in all forms.

Tucked into the wooded outskirts of the country of Mercis, a human man would reveal himself as the one true prophet of the god of acceptance, Kevlah. This man would become known as The Founder by all of his followers and his religion would spread far and wide, but not before overtaking the small woodland village that this religion started out in. His teachings required children to be given up by their parents and endure numerous rigorous trials in order to break their wills, turning the god of acceptance in theory into the god of apathy in practice.

One unfortunate soul had some of the worst treatment of the bunch: a young boy named Dosifei. The Founder particularly took a liking to him in more ways than one, and for the boy's final trial, he was plopped into the woods alone for ten years. There, he was completely forgotten about by the world and forced to fend for himself.

This event understandably caused a great fear of religion to blossom within Dosifei. It also just made him generally very skittish and shy, the malnutrition stunting his growth and locking him into this childlike state despite being an adult who wants to be treated as an adult. However, he finds it hard to put his foot down about that and often even uses his childlike appearance to his advantage whenever the need arises to go incognito.

He travels with his adventuring party of a high elf swashbuckler named Demetrius Elfington, a half-elf druid named Ainsley Shawcross-Winters, a half-orc barbarian named Enan Faroche, and an aasimar-tiefling hybrid rogue who has no name. His familiar is a raccoon named Cutson, sometimes known as Cutlet.
